Charming late 19th-century Victorian secretary desk crafted in walnut with striking burl walnut accents.
The compact secretary features a paneled fall-front writing surface with a beautifully figured burl walnut inset. When opened, the front reveals a fitted writing interior with pigeonholes, small drawers, document compartments, and a red writing surface.
Below is a full-width hand made dovetailed drawer accented with burl walnut panels and brass ring pulls, above a two-door cabinet offering additional storage. Paneled sides, architectural moldings, and additional burl walnut accents complete the design.
Its narrow proportions make this an especially useful antique secretary for an apartment, bedroom, library, hallway, or other space where a full-size desk would be too large.
Displays age-related wear, surface marks and finish variation consistent with its antique age and use. Please review photographs for condition.
