Beautiful late-19th-century Victorian iron bed frame with an ornate, highly detailed design. The frame features graceful arched head and footboards, slender iron spindles, and decorative cast-iron floral and foliate details throughout.

I rescued this from a local antique dealer 15 years ago just before they were about to strip and repaint. This has the original dark finish and has developed a naturally aged patina over time, with areas of wear and surface variation that give the piece its character. The construction is substantial and beautifully made, with unusually elaborate cast-iron ornamentation for a period bed. There are holes in the rails to add slats if one wanted to.

A striking piece of Victorian furniture that would work equally well in a traditional, eclectic, or more contemporary interior.

Condition: Antique condition with visible age, wear, oxidation, and finish variation consistent with its age. Please see photos for details.

Note: This is the bed frame only; mattress and bedding are not included. Can be disassembled for shipping.
