A carved wood figural head mounted on a black display stand, depicting a serene female face with a gentle, slightly parted smile. The head is topped with an elaborate carved headdress, and finely detailed wavy hair falling in long strands on either side of the face, ending in tasseled or braided tips.
Decorative disc earrings hang from each ear, carved directly into the wood. The eyes and teeth appear to be inset with a different material, possibly bone or shell, though this isn’t confirmed, giving the face a striking, lifelike contrast against the warm wood tone.
The face itself has soft, naturalistic modeling in the cheeks, nose, and lips, with visible fine wood grain throughout.
