Good condition. Giuseppe Scalarini was one of the pioneers of Italian political cartooning and among the most influential satirical illustrators of the early twentieth century. A committed socialist, pacifist, and anti-militarist, his powerful visual commentary on social injustice, war, and authoritarianism made him one of the best-known cartoonists of his generation, while also making him a frequent target of censorship, prosecution, and persecution under Fascism. Today he is regarded as one of the founders of the modern Italian political cartoon. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
