Dating to the early 1900s, its unusual form combines a central storage cabinet with open display compartments and four drawers, creating a refined balance of enclosed storage and decorative presentation.
The central door features a raised panel framed by sweeping Louis XV contours and embellished with carved floral and foliate motifs. Carved corner posts define each section, descending to escargot feet beneath a shaped apron enriched with shell ornamentation. The open compartments offer generous space for displaying porcelain, books, or decorative collections, while two drawers above each opening are fitted with decorative brass pulls. Behind the central door, a shelved interior provides additional storage.
The softly colored marble top follows the movement of the casework below, with a molded edge that completes the buffet beautifully. Its distinctive design, strong storage, and open display areas make it particularly appealing for a dining room, salon, library, or entry.
