Each of the three drawers is defined by a subtle recessed border, its face continuing the vertical rattan striping while offering a cohesive, unbroken visual flow across the entire chest front. Simple, straight rattan pulls are mounted in pairs on each drawer, their understated cylindrical form maintaining the design's clean, minimalist sensibility while providing practical functionality. The case is framed by a substantial rattan-wrapped border along the top and sides, adding structural definition and a refined finishing detail that distinguishes the piece from simpler rattan furniture. Throughout, the rattan displays a warm, honeyed golden patina, its natural material variation and consistent tonal quality speaking to careful preservation and thoughtful use over the decades. This straightforward, architectural composition of repeating vertical lines exemplifies the understated elegance central to quality mid-century rattan casegoods.

This chest works beautifully as a dresser in a bedroom, a media console in a living room, or additional storage in an entryway or sunroom. It suits Boho, Coastal, Organic Modern, and Tropical Modern interiors particularly well. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth or brush, and avoid prolonged direct sunlight or excessive moisture, which can affect the rattan's natural finish over time. The chest measures 28 inches in width, 18 inches in depth, and 32 inches in height. It presents in very good condition, with an original finish and warm, even patina, minor surface scuffs and light wear on the edges consistent with age, and no visible repairs or losses.
