Description:
Presenting a magnificent pair of Chinese enameled porcelain temple jars (general jars), exquisitely hand-painted with vibrant famille rose enamels. Each jar features a classic baluster form with a domed wood lid topped with a yellow finial, adorned with colorful depictions of golden pheasants perched on rocky outcroppings amidst blooming peonies, plum blossoms, and bamboo, all set against a vibrant turquoise ground with an intricate, incised scrolling pattern (pressed flower technique). The bases bear an apocryphal blue enameled four-character Qianlong reign mark. Perfect as striking focal points on a mantel, console, or as part of an Asian art collection.
