Hand formed … Read more Striking vintage Blenko freeform art glass bowl attributed to designer Wayne Husted, dating to the mid century period. Hand formed in rich Amber/honey glass, the piece has an organic “amoeba” form with dramatically raised, irregular edges and a heavily textured surface. The substantial glass creates beautiful variations in color ranging from warm, golden amber to deep brown along the thicker edges.

The underside bears the sandblasted “BLENKO” Blanco makers mark associated with Blenko production from approximately 1958 to 1961.

The substantial piece weighs approximately 2 pounds and 15 ounces and measures approximately 9 inches across. Its sculptural form. makes it equally appealing as a centerpiece, decorative art glass object, or addition to a collection of mid-century American glass.
