This beautifully crafted long box is a fine example of mixed-media artistry. Unlike standard hinged boxes, this piece features a sliding lid mechanism, adding a unique tactile element. The lid is adorned with a vertical arrangement of inlays:
Three large circular cabochons of iridescent Abalone Shell, displaying mesmerizing swirls of green, blue, and purple.
Two small Turquoise-colored stones near the top.
Two small Red Coral-colored stones near the bottom.
Key Features:
Artistry: The standout feature is the striking contrast between the dark wood and the shimmering Abalone Shell. The shell catches the light beautifully, creating a kaleidoscope effect.
Design: The elongated shape (26 cm) and sliding lid make it highly versatile. It is perfect for storing incense sticks (Agarwood/Sandalwood), long necklaces, calligraphy brushes, or as a minimalist desk organizer.
Material: Crafted from solid Rosewood (Huali), featuring a dark, dense grain. It is heavy for its size (374g), indicating high-quality hardwood.
Interior: The interior is clean, unlined wood, ready for your personal storage needs.
