This is a late 19th century, Victorian, stick and ball, walnut, display easel. It is a carved antique that has simple, yet elegant, clean lines. I believe it has the original brass chain attached, that holds the tripod securely open. It can be used not only as a studio tool, but also to showcase, framed paintings, portrait photographs, or decorative pieces (plates, books, etc). The pencil/paintbrush tray doubles as the painting’s or picture’s support. The dark, walnut color really makes this easel stand out!
The easel weighs 3.7 lbs
