Exceptional pair of mahogany swinging saloon doors crafted by Brunswick, Balke & Collender Co. Each door features richly figured stiles and rails, a recessed lower panel, carved scrollwork cresting, molded trim, and original decorative metal hinges. The upper sections contain elaborate leaded-glass windows composed of beveled and glue-chipped glass arranged in geometric patterns around a stylized central fleur-de-lis motif.
Original beveled-glass push plates are mounted along both sides of the doors and decorated with glue-chipped panels, ornamental lettering, and the maker's shield-form mark reading "The Brunswick Balke Collender Co. Chicago." The doors retain their substantial matching mahogany side supports, creating a highly decorative architectural element associated with the elaborate interiors of late-19th-century saloons and billiard halls.
The Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company was formed through a series of mergers in 1884 and became the world's leading billiards-equipment manufacturer, operating a major production facility in Chicago.

Two original glass push plates are damaged: one has a break and loss toward the bottom, while another has been broken approximately in half. The remaining push-plate sections retain visible Brunswick branding and decorative glue-chipped details. Leaded-glass panels show surface soiling and age-related wear, with oxidation and discoloration to the metal cames. Hinges and other metal hardware retain darkened patina and surface oxidation. All notable damage has been photographed. less
