The slightly flared cylindrical body rests on a richly faceted, solid octagonal base with a radiating star-shaped background visible through the glass. The wheel-cut decoration is arranged in two registers: the upper register features large, multi-pointed stars, palmette and fan motifs, and a striking central six-pointed star with an internal geometric rosette; the lower register displays smaller stars and engraved circular medallions. The neck is adorned with a characteristic scalloped frieze.

The cut areas reveal the underlying colorless crystal, creating a striking contrast with the intense ruby-red color of the surface.

Authenticity technique: The crystal overlay technique involves blowing a layer of colored crystal onto a colorless base, then wheel-cutting to reveal the two layers – a demanding artisanal process, clearly visible on this piece.

Condition: Perfect, no chips or cracks.
