Due to its exceptionally high quality craftsmanship, refined details, and materials, this piece is attributed to the renowned Parisian firm Maison Jansen, one of the most important names in luxury interior design of the 20th century.

The structure is made entirely of solid brass of excellent weight and craftsmanship. The central vertical rod features a refined and characteristic twisted (rope-like) finish. The shaped hanger is made of fine dark wood, perfect for holding jackets and shirts while maintaining their original shape. The upright is topped with an elegant, finely crafted decorative knob. The horizontal trouser bar is covered in black velvet to ensure a non-slip grip on fabric, embellished at the ends with two matching ornamental brass knobs.
The circular base is molded in solid brass and supported by three finely chiseled lion's paw feet, an iconic detail of neoclassical furniture from the French haute couture school.

The valet stand is in excellent vintage condition. The brass retains its splendid original luster with a light and charming patina that authenticates its age. There are no missing parts, cracks in the wood, or structural defects. The velvet upholstery is intact. See less
