A handsome pair of vintage brass fireplace andirons featuring classic ball finials, beautifully turned tapered columns, and graceful curved feet. Each andiron is constructed with a substantial brass decorative front and an iron log support extending to the rear.
The traditional form reflects Colonial and Georgian Revival design, making this pair particularly well suited to traditional, Federal, Georgian, Colonial Revival, or collected interiors. The brass has developed attractive age-related patina and tonal variation, while the iron log rests retain their naturally aged finish.
Both decorative and functional, these have wonderful presence and would make a striking addition to a fireplace even when not in use.
