The ground is the wool's own undyed grey-taupe, striated like weathered stone, and rising from it are tall cypress trees in forest green and sky blue, weeping willows in navy and ochre, flowering trees with tiny blossoms along their branches, and navy spandrels at the corners that frame the field without a border.

The palette is restrained: grey, navy, green, sky blue, ochre, brick red and ivory. Vegetable dyes give the motifs their depth, while the undyed ground shows the natural variation of hand-spun fleece. A calm, sculptural runner for a long hallway, kitchen, stair landing or bedside; it pairs easily with organic-modern, Scandinavian, mid-century, English country and traditional interiors.
