Each individual bowl measures approximately 5 inches in diameter and is formed with an elegant scalloped, lobed edge that catches and reflects the light beautifully. The sculptural squirrels add just the right amount of character while the classic silver finish keeps the set sophisticated.

The undersides bear an “SW” maker’s mark accompanied by a crown device. The precise manufacturer has not been conclusively identified, so the set is being offered as unattributed antique silverplate rather than sterling silver.

Originally intended as individual nut dishes at the dining table, these would be equally striking today for cocktail nuts, candies, small hors d’oeuvres, jewelry, or simply displayed as decorative objects. Finding a single antique figural squirrel dish is charming; finding six matching examples together makes this set particularly special.

The pieces retain their vintage silvered surfaces with areas of patina, surface wear, spotting and oxidation consistent with age and use. Some areas of base metal are visible.
