Here is a wonderful 1970s teak serving bowl designed by Jens Harald Quistgaard for Dansk Designs, and made in Denmark. The substantial bowl features a beautifully restrained cylindrical form with a distinctive beveled lower edge that angles inward toward the base, giving the simple profile an unexpected sculptural quality and creating the appearance that the bowl is gently lifted above the surface.
Constructed of richly grained teak, the bowl showcases the warmth and natural variation of the wood, with the staved construction subtly visible around the exterior. The generous nearly 12-inch size makes it ideal as a serving, salad or fruit bowl, while the clean architectural form is equally beautiful displayed on its own.
