18th Century German Baroque Walnut Veneer & Marquetry Bureau Cabinet
A fine 18th-century German Baroque bureau cabinet, constructed in three parts and richly veneered in figured walnut with decorative marquetry and geometric inlay. The shaped upper section centers on an open cabinet compartment with secret drawers concealed behind the central panel, flanked by six short drawers over one long drawer. The lower section has a graceful serpentine-form façade, fitted with three long drawers and raised on turned bun feet. Elaborate decorative mounts and escutcheons enhance the sophisticated Baroque design.
