Monumental Indonesian architectural wall panel, hand-carved from solid teak in deep high relief with pierced openwork. The richly detailed composition depicts a jungle landscape populated with elephants, big cats, wild boars, monkeys, deer, and birds, surrounded by scrolling foliage and stylized floral motifs.
The deeply undercut carving creates substantial dimension and negative space, showcasing the craftsmanship of traditional Indonesian woodcarving. The panel retains a natural matte finish that emphasizes the warm grain of the teak.
