Originally made for a devotional statue, likely a Virgin Mary, Child Jesus or crowned saint.

Entirely hand-carved, with gilt decoration and a red-painted interior. The crown retains both its original upper cross and the wooden fixing peg underneath, used to secure it directly to the head of the statue.

Its miniature scale, preserved mounting system and authentic aged surface give it a particularly charming devotional character.

Dimensions
Height: 6 cm
Diameter: 5.5 cm

Condition
Very good antique condition considering its age, with expected wear and small losses to the gilding. The crown is complete, including the upper cross and lower fixing peg.
