The top is particularly attractive, centred with beautifully figured burr walnut veneers and extensively decorated with finely worked floral marquetry. A broad continuous band of scrolling flowers and foliage surrounds the centre, with further floral decoration to the central roundel and contrasting segmented veneers around the outer edge. The table is raised on a substantial turned and carved central pedestal, terminating in four boldly shaped scrolling legs with carved detail.
