This vase is in good overall condition, despite some signs of age that attest to its history:

Jean Austruy (1910-2012)
Like Suzanne Ramié (Madoura) and Robert Picault, Jean Austruy belonged to that generation of post-war ceramists who reinterpreted traditional folk pottery, thus contributing to the revival of the ceramic arts. He successfully adapted the style of his creations to withstand six decades.
Jean Austruy joined the trade association of ceramists (now the Fondation des Ateliers d’Art) and exhibited at the Salon des Ateliers d’Art in Paris. He was present at the 1953 Salon d’Automne alongside Georges Jouve, Jacques Blin, Fernand Lacaf, Peter Orlando, and Pol Chambost. This piece has an attribution mark,
