Vintage Dorothy Draper Style Black & Gold 9-Drawer Decorator Chest
Vintage black and gold nine-drawer decorator chest inspired by the iconic Dorothy Draper/Hollywood Regency aesthetic.
The chest features nine individual drawers with shaped gold-painted borders and brass-tone ring pulls against a black painted finish. The design is clearly reminiscent of the dramatic black-and-gold furniture popularized by Dorothy Draper, but this is a decorative copy and is not attributed to Dorothy Draper or Henredon.
The back is factory stenciled “Decorator Chest Black.”A great decorative piece offering the classic Draper look at a more accessible price point.
Dimensions: approximately 38” W × 18” D × 32½” H.
Condition: Vintage condition with noticeable wear from age and use, including scratches, scuffs, chips and areas of finish loss, particularly on the top and edges. Wear to the gold decoration and hardware is also present. Needs to be repainted -Please see photographs for condition.
WE have a fine quality Henredon dorothy Draper chest in another chairish listing.
