The state of preservation is very good, except for some stains on the higher and lower margins. At the bottom, there is an inscription in charcoal in French language, yet only partially readable “Une chambre”. Indeed, the drawing represents a small bedroom also furnished as a studio with two painters painting huge canvases. Spread in the bedroom, a heater and a color box. On the back of the paper, there is another drawing with a painter in the foreground whilst portraying a model standing behind him. Both are very interesting sketches because they reproduce the typical housing and working situation of young artists of the French Bohemia at the turn of 1900 and, though drawn rapidly and approximately, they are still pleasant and amusing.
