A striking, highly collectible Mid-Century Modern art pottery fan vase manufactured by the iconic Red Wing Pottery (Red Wing, Minnesota). This structural, avant-garde piece belongs to the sought-after "Gladiolus" line designed by pioneering American industrial designer Belle Kogan circa 1940.
The vase features a dramatic, architectural flared fan silhouette with a five-finger reticulated pocket design. This unique structure was specifically engineered to separate and support individual tall flower stems, such as gladioli or irises. It boasts an exquisite dual-glaze colorway, matching a deep, high-gloss hunter green exterior with a striking chartreuse-yellow interior lining.
The underside of the footed base features the authentic, clear crisply incised maker's marks: "RED WING/USA/B1419".
A majestic, statement-making centerpiece for Art Deco or Mid-Century Modern decor collectors.
