Painting on canvas with artistical relief. Hand-signed by the artist on the back. White wood frame is included. Passepartout is included. The certificate of authenticity is present: N 95 / 587 by Fondazione M. S. Multistudio. The work has been certified in Milan, 08 / 01 / 2020. Excellent conditions. Excellent work realized with a midex media painting on canvas depicting a solitary cow in the nature. Interesting, as all the works realized by Schifano, for the use of bright colors and the obscure background. The figure of the cow is on relief and emerge over the surface of the canvas. The figure is surrounded by a natural green land and, on the upper side of the work, there is a deep blue sky with some traces of white color, typical of Schifano work. This work has been realized bythe father of Italian Pop Art Mario Schifano. Mario Schifano (Homs, 1934 - Rome, 1998) made his debut in the exhibition at ''Salita di Roma'', presented by Pierre Restany in 1960. It attracts many critics by creating monochrome paintings which give the idea of screen. He signed an exclusive contract with Ileana Sonnabend. In 1962, he made his first trip to the United States where he was attracted by artists like Franz Kline, he frequented Frank O'Hara, Jasper Johns, Rothko, Andy Warhol, Gregory Corso. He participated in the exhibition ''The New Realists'' at the Sidney Janis Gallery in New York. After two solo shows in Rome and Paris, he returned to the United States. In the elaboration of his artworks, the artist prefers to use colors of industrial production for their ability to preserve their brilliance. See less
