Hey there, TIGERS!!!!!! How YOU DOIN”????? (Gotta use your best Joey from Friends accent on that!) LOL … Just kidding, but this incredible painting is NO JOKE!!! WOW!!! This is a GORGEOUS vintage painting on canvas in a black and gold painted wood frame signed by Pettersen representing three absolutely MAJESTIC tigers resting in front of earthy brush stroked colors of orange, gold, and brown with a warm ochre and tan background. The three tiger motifs exude strong black sketch-like line work defining their powerful physiques and the realistic detail within the stare of their eyes simply pierce through your soul. It is simply mesmerizing!! Pettersen artwork is quite the enigma as biographical details about the artist are very scarce. Raising question as possibly a Nom de Plume or pseudonym. Pettersen artwork is widely recognized in the vintage and mid-century eras for a distinct series of wildlife, landscape, and floral paintings. The pieces are kitschy, yet regal and they were highly sought after by collectors of Mid-Century Modern aesthetics, Bohemian or Retro home stylings, AND those with an appreciation for bold, beautiful nature and wildlife! Quite the Mid-Century Modern staple!! Whether you are a lover of tigers or a lover of breath taking vintage artwork, this piece is sure to be a conversation starter and make a statement on any wall in your home. Listen… You better “take these tigers by the tail” … and make it YOURS!!!
