Just in this very unusual,
Exceptional English Aesthetic Movement multi-functional cabinet dating to the late Victorian era (circa 1880–1890). The piece features a structural frame crafted from dark-burnt tiger bamboo with curved leg stretchers. The front is fitted with a single top drawer opening to reveal a partitioned interior, sitting above a large, drop-front hopper storage bin. Both the drawer face and the bin face feature finely detailed, hand-painted Japanned lacquer work with gilded Chinoiserie depictions of traditional Asian birds, flora, and landscapes. A charming example of late 19th-century exoticism, this versatile piece serves beautifully as a side table, sewing cabinet, or accent chest.
