This striking mid-century oil on canvas painting captures the final performance and tragic history of the legendary matador Manuel Laureano Rodríguez Sánchez, universally known as "Manolete."
Historical Significance:
The artwork beautifully depicts Manolete performing his signature pass, the "Manoletina", gracefully guiding the massive bull past his body with his red cape. On August 28, 1947, at the Santa Margarita bullring in Linares, Spain, Manolete was critically gored in the right thigh by the legendary Miura bull named "Islero." He tragically passed away early the next morning on August 29, 1947.

• The Painting: Authentic mid-century piece showing beautiful age and texture. The rest of the paint layer is stable.
• The Frame: The classic wood frame is structurally sound but shows noticeable vintage wear, including surface scuffs and scratches. The painting is intentionally being sold and shipped inside this frame to keep the fragile canvas secure and prevent the historic paint from flexing or cracking during transit.
