The elongated design is centered by a series of finely detailed medallions surrounded by scrolling botanical motifs, stylized blossoms, and ornamental accents in muted beige, charcoal, olive, dusty blue, rose, and ivory.

A dark contrasting floral border frames the composition and gives the rug strong architectural definition.

Hand-knotted with a finely worked traditional weave, the rug displays the graceful curvilinear drawing and decorative floral character associated with vintage Sivas carpets. Years of use have created a beautifully distressed low pile with areas of fading, abrash, and visible age-related wear, giving the surface an authentic timeworn patina rather than a newly manufactured appearance.
