Authentic Charles and Ray Eames EA 208 Soft Pad swivel chair, manufactured under license by Vitra. Designed in 1969, the Soft Pad Group took the architectural aluminum framework of the celebrated Eames Aluminium Group and added individually upholstered cushions for considerably greater comfort while preserving the remarkably light visual profile of the original design.

This example features supple white leather upholstery with three softly padded sections, including a removable seat cushion, set within a beautifully engineered polished aluminum frame. Sculptural open aluminum arms flow into the chair’s side supports, while the polished four-star base provides a particularly elegant profile from every angle.

The chair swivels on its pedestal base and retains its sewn “Charles Eames — The authorized original. Vitra” manufacturer’s label, identifying it as authentic licensed Vitra production.

The white leather against polished aluminum gives this example a particularly clean architectural presence—equally successful as an executive desk chair, conference chair, occasional chair or statement piece in a contemporary interior.
