Rendered with a warm, painterly touch, the composition captures the layered architecture of the seaside village rising above the waterfront, where fishing boats rest along the shore and small figures animate the beach. The soft Mediterranean palette of pale ochres, terracotta roofs, stone towers, and luminous blue water evokes the distinctive atmosphere of the Ligurian Riviera. Folis’s handling of texture and light lends the scene both movement and depth, while the intimate scale preserves the immediacy of an observed coastal moment. The historic towers and clustered hillside buildings create a strong sense of place, making the work especially appealing to collectors of Italian regional landscapes and maritime views. A beautifully evocative signed painting that brings the timeless romance of San Remo and the Ligurian coastline into the interior. See less
