The tops are decorated with green wood stringing, inlaid and edged on all sides, adding a fine linear detail to the surface. The neoclassical lines of the Louis XVI style are seen in the restrained forms and tapering legs. Cherrywood gives a warm, golden-toned surface, and the green stringing provides a subtle decorative contrast.
