The .5"w x 1"d hand-hewn pieces, visible end grain, warm honey and amber tones all combine to give this basket exceptional texture and character. Generously proportioned with a deep, open interior and tall, rising sides make it especially compelling as a sculptural decorative object.

A wonderful example of vernacular woodworking and folk art, with a compelling primitive, handmade presence. Equally at home displayed on a console, shelf, mantel, or incorporated into an eclectic collection of folk art and Americana objects.
