DESCRIPTION:
Striking sculptural chandelier featuring 48 individually mounted translucent white panels arranged on a substantial polished nickel/chrome framework. The fixture measures approximately 24" corner-to-corner, 18" side-to-side, and 18" high, with an additional 16" suspension rod, and weighs approximately 50–60 lbs. Each panel is thick, irregularly shaped, and secured with polished spherical fasteners, giving the chandelier a dramatic layered appearance when viewed from different angles. The fixture dates to 2015 and carries UL certification. Because the exact panel material has not been independently tested, it is being described conservatively as alabaster-style translucent stone/glass rather than authenticated natural alabaster. This is a substantial, high-impact statement fixture suited to an entryway, dining room, living room, boutique, gallery, or other interior where sculptural lighting is a focal point. Local pickup is strongly preferred due to the weight and delicate individual panels.
The design appears to draw from the same decorative tradition as significantly more expensive Italian Murano, alabaster, and mid-century-inspired sculptural chandeliers, including pieces associated with makers such as Vistosi, Mazzega, and later luxury lighting collections that pair translucent alabaster or alabaster-like elements with polished nickel. Comparable designer fixtures from brands such as Visual Comfort, AERIN, and RH/Eichholtz can retail in the several-thousand-dollar range, with some natural-alabaster examples reaching roughly $5,000–$6,000 or more depending on size and designer. This chandelier is not being represented as one of those authenticated designer pieces; rather, its dense radial construction, 48 individually mounted translucent panels, polished metal frame, and substantial weight reflect a similar luxury-lighting aesthetic.
