A hand-blown handkerchief vase in a tortoiseshell pattern that shifts with the light — creamy opaque glass mottled in amber and mauve up top, deepening into a rich, nearly black-brown at the base, all sitting on a thick clear foot. The rim folds and pleats at the top, so no two angles look quite the same.
Murano style, likely Italian and dating to the 1970s or 80s. Unsigned. Substantial in hand and perfect for a single stem, dried grasses, or as an empty decorative piece.
Dimensions are approximate due to uneven shape. The base is 3" wide, while the top is 8-8.5" wide. Approximately 9.5" in height.
