The gold tooling border remains largely intact and visible. Wood & finish: The dark mahogany finish has a warm, rich patina with scattered surface scratches, minor scuffs, and some edge wear consistent with decades of use. No structural repairs or major damage noted. Drawers & hardware: The drawer opens and closes smoothly. The brass bail pulls are original and present; they show light tarnish and age-appropriate wear. Drawer interiors are clean solid wood. Legs & base: Tapered legs are solid and stable. Small casters are intact. Overall, this is a solid, usable piece that retains its original elegance.
