Its richly carved façade, shaped apron and cabriole legs reflect the fluid Régence influence for which Liège furniture is so admired, while its relaxed character embodies the enduring appeal of Country French style.
The carving is particularly accomplished, with scrolling foliage, shell motifs and shaped panels creating movement across the façade. Three drawers extend across the top, joined by three additional drawers through the center, while two carved cabinet doors open to shelved interiors.
Solid brass hardware provides a rich finishing detail, beautifully complementing the warm tones of the stripped oak and the deeply carved façade.
Liège has long been celebrated for its tradition of finely carved oak furniture, particularly interpretations of Régence and Louis XV design.
