Image dimension: 23 x 20 cm. The artworks represent a seated couple while speaking, created with strong lines, skilfully expressed in Expressionistic scratches. The Donkey was a political satire magazine in 1892, the year of the first Giolitti ministry and the establishment of the Italian Socialist Party, The magazine was conceived by Guido Podrecca, a Carduccian university student, positivist and socialist, and by Gabriele Galantara, brilliant cartoonist and puppeteer, also a socialist. The two assumed the pseudonyms of ''Goliardo'' (Podrecca) and ''Rata Langa'' (Galantara), and with these nicknames, they signed the issues of the weekly.
