The artwork has been exhibited on the occasion of the exhibition Vedo il blu, il blu nell'arte contemporanea, at Galleria Editalia, Rome 2005. In excellent conditions, this superb artwork demonstrates a great mastery of the range of blue and light-blue tones. Marcello Grottesi (Rome, 1939-2020) was an Italian painter and filmaker. He was one of the protagonists of the Laboratory of the 1970's, then Gruppo di via Brunetti, together with Paolo Matteucci and Gianfranco Notargiacomo. The three were the authors of the first ''gestures of art'', provocative artistic performances that brought art to the squares of the historic center of Rome, with the purpose to break with past and to project the city into a more modern context.
