The painting draws the eye along a gently receding woodland path, where pale birch trunks rise through a dense canopy of layered green foliage. Dappled areas of gold, olive, and cool blue create a calm, atmospheric sense of depth and an inviting feeling of a quiet walk through the woods.

Painted with expressive, textured impasto brushwork, the work has a lively hand-painted surface and a pleasing balance between naturalistic observation and impressionistic handling of light.
