Josef Albers was a pioneering figure of modernist and abstract art, best known for his influential Homage to the Square series, in which carefully arranged squares explore the complex interaction of colour, perception, and spatial relationships.

Study for Homage to the Square is a particularly beautiful example of Albers’ investigation into how colours appear to change depending on their surrounding tones. Its precise geometric structure and refined colour relationships make it an elegant statement piece for contemporary interiors.

Good condition, carefully preserved and never framed. Securely packaged and shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube. The poster is sold unframed. Any frame shown in the photo is for display purposes only and is not included.

A sophisticated collectible for admirers of Josef Albers, Bauhaus, geometric abstraction, colour theory, modern art, and museum exhibition posters. See less
