A beautifully preserved matched pair of vintage cherry Pembroke end tables made in 1995 by Waterford Furniture Makers of Lynchburg, Virginia. Both tables retain their original factory marks identifying model 1113-29 and the F2 finish.
Each table features a narrow rectangular center top flanked by two hinged drop leaves with softly rounded outer corners. With the leaves lowered, the table maintains a tailored 16-inch-wide profile. Raising both leaves expands the surface to approximately 29 inches, allowing the tables to move easily between compact end tables and more generous occasional surfaces.
The restrained Federal-inspired form is defined by slender tapered legs, subtly molded top edges and a single fitted drawer. Original oval brass bail pulls introduce a warm decorative detail without interrupting the tables’ clean architectural lines.
The drawer construction is particularly noteworthy. Each solid-hardwood drawer box is assembled with precise machine-cut dovetail joinery and a fitted wooden bottom, reflecting the quality of Waterford’s American furniture production. The drawers operate smoothly and retain their original hardware and branded factory marks.
Used together, the pair offers the balance and symmetry designers look for when furnishing either side of a sofa or bed. Individually, they can serve as occasional tables in a library, entry or sitting room. Their adjustable width also makes them especially useful where flexibility of scale matters.
The rich cherry finish and quiet traditional detailing lend themselves naturally to American Traditional and English Country interiors. Layered with leather, tartan, equestrian art, books and collected objects, they would also sit comfortably within a Ralph Lauren–inspired library or study. Their compact proportions make them equally suitable for a Grandmillennial bedroom, where the brass hardware and warm wood would pair beautifully with patterned textiles and upholstered beds.
Exceptionally well preserved as a matched pair and sold together.
Identification and dating:
The factory marks establish the following information:
Maker: Waterford Furniture Makers
Manufacturing location: Lynchburg, Virginia
Production year: 1995
Model: 1113-29
Factory finish: F2
Each with leaves lowered:
16"W × 24"D × 27"H
Each with both leaves raised:
29"W × 24"D × 27"H
Waterford’s surviving 2006 factory-liquidation catalog identifies style 1113 as a cherry drop-leaf Pembroke table measuring 16 inches wide with its leaves lowered. That factory description corresponds directly with the marks, materials, form and measurements of this pair.
The term Pembroke table is appropriate rather than merely “Pembroke-style.” The form traditionally combines a compact fixed center, hinged side leaves, a fitted drawer and slender legs, allowing the table to expand when needed while retaining a narrow resting profile.

Both tables retain their original finish and brass hardware and present beautifully. The drawers, drop leaves, hinges and supports are intact and functional. One table has a small area of localized finish rubbing near a tabletop corner, with a few faint surface marks elsewhere. No cracks, significant veneer loss, warping, repairs or structural issues observed. Please review all photographs closely, particularly the tops, leaf edges, drawer interiors, hardware and factory marks. less
