Vintage Maitland-Smith bronze Roman-style figures, a matched pair handmade in Thailand, circa 1980s–1990s. Founded in 1979, Maitland-Smith became known for handcrafted luxury furnishings and decorative objects inspired by historic European designs. Each classical male figure wears Roman-style dress and stands on an ornate integral pedestal, with sculpted lion-head shoulder detail and a naturally aged bronze surface. Their verdigris patina works especially well with Neoclassical, Grand Tour, Old World, Traditional and collected interiors. Original “Hand Made in Thailand” label remains underneath one base.
