The substantial clear crystal body is beautifully hand-cut with an elaborate combination of geometric and fan-like patterns that catch and reflect the light beautifully. The upper silver mount is highly decorative, with elaborate scrolling foliage, floral motifs, a dramatic Rococo handle, sculptural thumbpiece, hinged lid, and an elegant curved pouring spout.

The combination of faceted crystal and richly ornamented Portuguese silverwork creates a striking European Old World aesthetic.
