Crafted from Brazilian rosewood, the set consists of six side chairs and two captain’s chairs, the latter of which are exceptionally difficult to find. Black leather upholstery complements the onyx hues naturally present throughout the rosewood frames.

The tall, airy backrests are composed of slender vertical spindles framed by subtly tapered uprights. Their delicate construction gives the chairs a remarkably light visual presence while the broad leather seats provide ample comfort.

Particularly striking as a complete set of eight, the chairs balance Vodder’s characteristic restraint with the exceptional color and figure of the rosewood, making them equally suited to a formal dining room or a more contemporary interior.

The seats were reupholstered in black leather a decade ago by the prior owners. The foam and webbing remain robust, while the leather is lightly broken in with no significant imperfections. The frames are in very good original condition with light, age-appropriate wear.
