A stunning, authentic antique French Provincial curvilinear backing plaque meticulously hand-carved from solid hardwood. This substantial architectural element features traditional hand-chiseled shell and scroll motifs at both the upper and lower crests. The face showcases individual artisan tool marks, rich organic grain textures, and a beautifully aged chestnut brown patina that adds instant historic character to any space.
The plaque is fitted with an antique four-point metal hook layout (two upper neck pins and two lower base hooks), making it highly versatile for unique display projects. It is perfectly scaled to exhibit a vintage string instrument (such as a violin and bow), mount a classic European ceramic or pewter lavabo water font and basin, or serve as a standalone statement wall accent. The reverse side features an integrated heavy-duty metal hanger, arriving completely ready to mount.
