when closed, the piece appears as a refined and compact occasional table. Its hinged marquetry top opens to reveal an antique mirror within a finely moulded wooden frame and a spacious compartment originally intended for jewellery, sewing accessories or personal belongings.

the rectangular top and apron are decorated with geometric veneer and contrasting stringing. A drawer is incorporated into the front and retains its particularly attractive ornate antique key. The table is supported by four slender, tapered and fluted legs terminating in rounded feet.

its discreet proportions and concealed interior make it a versatile piece. It can be used as a side table, jewellery table, small entryway console, sewing table or occasional vanity.
