The composition is defined by elongated, flowing curves that form the female figure, while the smaller rounded figure of the child nestles within her silhouette. The large openwork section creates a sense of lightness and emphasizes the intimate relationship between the two figures. The warm brown wood displays a beautiful natural grain enhanced by a smooth polished finish. Its simplified forms and continuous curves give the sculpture a timeless, organic character. A decorative and symbolic piece that works beautifully as a standalone sculpture in a modern, mid-century or eclectic interior.
