This is an authentic Japanese traditional wooden bucket for uchimizu. Uchimizu refers to the sprinkling of water in Japanese gardens and temples.
Flat-bottomed wooden water carrier. Lacquered. Kanji inscriptions. Floral inlaid decoration.
Measurements: 25 inches High (64 cm); 16 inches diameter (41 cm).
Condition: very good for its age. Minor structural damage (couple of chips) consistent with wear and use. Item has not be cleaned or repaired.
